SEND financial arrangements 2019 (Call For Evidence)
The Department for Education have issued a call for evidence on how the current available SEN support funding is distributed, and what improvements if any might be made in future. It seeks information about whether there are aspects of the funding system that are impacting on costs without improving outcomes for the young people concerned.
The call for evidence intends to focus on understanding how current funding is distributed, including how it enables mainstream schools to make provision for their pupils with additional needs, and on improvements that could be taken forward in future.
The National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF) would like to understand the views and experiences of parent carer forums and the impact that pressures on SEN funding is having on our communities of families.
The following survey will be used to inform the NNPCF’s response to the national call for evidence. The information collected will be shared anonymously with the Department for Education and no personal information will be shared without your consent to do so. Please note in line with the national consultation, the NNPCF response to the call for evidence will be in the public domain.
The survey is split into sections, with each providing a brief explanation about what that section is focusing on. We estimate the survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The attached guidance will hopefully help you in completing the survey, however if you require any help to complete or would like a paper version, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The survey will be open from 21st June 2019 to 21st July 2019 This is to enable us time to collate the information and compile a response.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.
