National Audit Office Inquiry – NNPCF Response
February 8, 2019
Towards the end of 2018 the National Audit Office opened an inquiry into the ‘Support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities’. This inquiry will focus on whether the Department for Education supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities effectively. It will also bear in mind the effectiveness of connections between education, health and social care services.
The study will explore:
- Outcomes for children and young people with SEND
- Quality assurance and monitoring processes
The study is open to evidence submissions currently, which you can provide on their website.
Based on the information we receive from our members we have put together a national response. This has been informed by our Talking Points and ongoing conversations with parent carer forums across England.
