Schools that work for everyone – Department for Education Consultation
September 23, 2016
The Government has set out it’s ambition to create an education system that ‘extends opportunity to everyone, not just the privileged few’ in their consultation entitled ‘Schools that work for everyone‘.
This consultation sets out how the Government will deliver “a diverse school system that provides all children, whatever their background, with schooling that will help them achieve their potential” however, there is no mention of Special Schools or quality provision for children and young people with SEND.
The NNPCF will be responding to this consultation of behalf of it’s members. To inform this response, however, we would like forums to send their views to their Steering Group Regional Representative so that we can ensure that our response reflects the views of a range of parent carers.
The closing date for this consultation is 12 December 2016. Please send any comments to your Regional Representative by 25th November 2016. We would also encourage your forum to respond directly to this consultation. Here is a guide to help you do this: http://www.nnpcf.org.uk/guidance-on-consultations-for-forums/
