Changes in health services – including links to other sites
In April 2013 the NHS went through major changes which altered the way services are commissioned.
Local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have become responsible for commissioning local acute and community health services. There can be more than one clinical commissioning group in a local authority area.
More information about the role of these organisations an can be found on the Contact a family website at www.cafamily.org.uk/pcp/NHS
